Spring in Cornwall 11 / 2 / 2019

Spring comes to Rooke Cottages

Today really feels like Spring is just around the corner! We have snowdrops galore at Rooke Cottages and there are some jolly daffs popping up to say hello. This is a brilliant time to visit us on the farm, with the Easter holidays almost here the days are longer and the sun is definitely warmer.

Spring comes first to Cornwall and our award wining gardens are quite a draw! With the beautifully grand Lanhydrock House near Bodmin, Prideaux Place in Padstow, Snowdrop Sundays at the ancient Pewncarrow as well as the all-weather Eden project to name just a few!

Grab a picnic and take to the coast, we have loads of great circular walks to choose from, some featuring a cosy pub or two. For the active try your hand at surfing, kayaking or stand up paddle boarding (you can even try it with your dog!) A boat trip is perhaps a little less vigorous and will help you get up-close-and-personal with our wonderful wildlife.

If you are looking for family friendly self-catering in Cornwall then our Duchy farm is the perfect package. We have cottages made just for two, ideal for a romantic Valentine’s escape. Or larger family homes that can comfortably fit all the generations under one roof. We also cater for man’s best friend with our beautiful private gardens and lovely surrounding countryside, our Darcy loves it!

To find your home from home check our availability here, we hope to welcome you soon.

For those who love to leave their holiday booking last minute, we still have some February Half Term availability. Have a look here to see which of our lovely cottages could be welcoming you very soon!
