HEALTH & SAFETY
We would like to thank all our wonderful guests who visited us and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you back in 2023.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming guests at Rooke Cottages.
With government guidelines in place, for accommodation businesses to re-open, there are certain conditions outlining safety requirements and cleaning protocols that we must follow to ensure the health and safety of our staff and guests, which we have stated below.
Cleaning
Cleaning will take a lot more time as we now have to double clean, which means firstly doing our usual high standard clean, followed by another clean using an antivirus disinfectant. With all the extra cleaning standards, we will need a lot more time to ensure that all the cottages are safe for you and your families. Departure and arrival times have had to be slightly adjusted to fit in with these new requirements. Guests would now be asked to check out by 9.30 am instead of 10 am and arrive no earlier than 4.30 pm instead of 4 pm.
Beds on departure
On the morning of you leaving us, we ask if you can please strip your bedding off all beds that your party have used. Government guidelines are stating that we must assume that anyone could be carrying the COVID-19 virus and by removing the bedding could mean making the virus airborne, which is why they are asking all guests to remove their bedding so the housekeepers aren’t coming into contact with it. We understand this isn’t ideal but we also have to think of our team.
Rubbish
Please empty all rubbish, including bathroom bins and place it in the bins outside.
General
You might notice that some things may be missing in your cottage. We have been advised to remove anything that is considered a high touch item (within reason). So some soft furnishings, for example, throws and cushions, ornaments, paper leaflets, DVD’s, board games.
We will provide hand sanitiser gloves and cleaning products for your own use in and around the cottages.
Our complimentary mid-week maid service will not be available for the time being, however, if you require any extra things like dishwashing tablets toilet rolls we will be happy to supply them.
Communal Areas
Our communal areas such as the storeroom/drying room will be closed until we can reopen safely. The children’s play area and surrounding fields will be available for you to roam and play freely, in a socially distanced way. All our cottages have private gardens to spend time relaxing.
We sincerely hope that you will have a happy and healthy holiday. However, should a member of your party develop symptoms, the Government advice is to return to your primary residence, and self-isolate there for a period of 7 days (14 days for the other group members). Please do let us know if you do develop symptoms.
We look forward to welcoming our returning and new guest back soon, we’ve missed you all. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected] or call on 01208 880368.
Kind regards,
