Autumn in Cornwall 6 / 9 / 2016

Have the beach to yourself this autumn

The summer holidays may be over and the children are back at school, but Cornwall is rather special in the Autumn. Imagine golden light, quieter beauty spots and the sea is still warm enough to take the plunge!

Rooke Cottages is located right in the heart of North Cornwall – the ideal place to visit favourite hot-spots like Padstow and Port Isaac, Polzeath too. These great locations can be yours at this more peaceful time in Cornwall. The evenings may be drawing in but the light is all the more golden, the sunsets seem more impressive and the atmosphere all the more intimate.

For that romantic break without the kids we have just the cottage, so you can have that luxury getaway without the compromise. Be in the centre of things with Harbour House overlooking the ever changing Camel river. Stroll to great local restaurants, soak up the culture and feel energised with the simply stunning Camel trail right on your doorstep. By bike or foot this is a favourite part of any trip when staying here.

Or at our farm choose one of our warm and welcoming cottages – all with log fires, great facilities and peaceful private gardens.

Now is the time to come to Cornwall to explore the many walking trails. The coastal path is simply breathtaking. There are festivals too, with food, sport and fishing villages all celebrating this change in season.

We love a visit to the many National Trust properties dotted around the county, the gardens still hold plenty of natural beauty as the summer draws to an end.

Autumn is the time to come and truly relax. Soak up the natural beauty, the fabulous food and cultural spectacles. Enjoy a holiday that really is laid back in a proper Cornish way. But don’t be dreckly about booking, as your favourite might get snapped up!
